Our Building Project

From inception we have grown from nothing to a congregation of 145 members in just 8 1/2 short years. By 2008 we were at 110% of our seating capacity with one bathroom and no room to grow. We begun preparing for this in 2006, and we set out to buy property to build a church. We purchased nearly 6-acres on SR 6 one mile west of SR 11, which we considered a prime location for the southern rural area. When we began drawing up plans for the new building we originally set our sights on a 12,000 Sq. foot building, and scaled it back to just under 10,000 Sq. foot for the first phase.

Some told us that we would never build this building on the budget originally set, which was $200,000.00. And one community member asked me to not build because “it would never happen”. But we knew we were in Gods will, and after being turned down by every local lender we secured a $200,000.00 loan from a Christian credit union in 2008.

With this $200,000.00 and $30,000.00 cash we began building ourselves in June of 2008. We completed our new facility in April 2009 just in time for our dedication service, and we did it on $270,000.00 total in borrowed funds. We are now blessed with a building appraised at close to a million dollars, all completed on an “impossible situation”.

But to God be the glory because He makes everything possible. We are now looking to the future to bring the gospel in its entirety to our area, and help people become truly delivered from the bondages of this world. Our area is infested with abuse, drug abuse, and alcoholic bondage, and we are determined to see this spirit broken. We have had numerous community members tell us that since our church has arrived, we have attacked the gates of hell.

All we want is to see people experience that unspeakable joy, and we know the glory of God will bring that. We have faced opposition since we arrived, and it will continue until Jesus comes back. But we are a church that is on a mission, and that mission is lost souls. We love Jesus and we love worship. And it is our prayer that you will find a home at the Pentecostal Community Church.
