April – Momentary Carelessness

Crystal Sturgill   -
You’ve heard people say at times that they “don’t care”, but in actuality they really do care. When we get hurt or when we feel overwhelmed we tend to say that we don’t care, the problem is we are allowing a moment of weakness to determine our destiny. A moment of weakness can lead to a lifetime of pain.

People say they don’t care and tend to act carelessly because of their mental state. We don’t take thought into what may follow because, in a moment of weakness we become careless and don’t allow logic to guide us. The only way to ensure that this never happens to you is to do as the scripture says and “Be strong in the Lord and the power if His might”. What follows is the “putting on of the whole armor of God”.

We must defend ourselves against momentary carelessness. We must protect our mind and preserve our future. The reality is that we DO care. It’s a moment of carelessness that will cause us to become reckless with our future and think that we don’t care.

So as Paul says, “Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might”, and in a moment of your carelessness, “put on the whole armor of God” and stand!
