January 2023 – New Vision for a New Year
Have you ever been driving and your windshield was obstructed by ice or debris, maybe you ran out of windshield washer fluid and you couldn’t clean it? There is nothing that is more frustrating than having an obstructed view as you’re navigating the highways of life.
Because we live in a state of spiritual warfare, we are in the trenches of the battlefield more than we understand or recognize. We oftentimes fail to realize that our vision becomes obscured by the spiritual filth from the spiritual battlefield. Back to the example about a dirty windshield; there is nothing more refreshing than taking your car to the car wash, cleaning all of your windows so your vision is clear and you then feel somewhat refreshed and renewed. As we go into the new year, I encourage you to ask God to give you a new vision for this new year. Ask the Lord to clean the spiritual windows of your soul that have been stained by the battlefield. Ask the Lord to help you to see clearly what His desire is for your life, your family, your home and your church in 2023.
If we will all diligently ask this of the Lord, I believe the Lord will answer. Be prepared for what He wants to do. Be prepared for the clear, fresh vision that He wants to give. God wants to take us farther than we have ever been and He wants us to see clearly as we navigate the spiritual freeways of life. Ask God for a New Vision for a New Year.
