Abundant LIFE
John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Recently I have had the unfortunate opportunity of pondering how short LIFE is and how quickly LIFE can change, sometimes to our favor and sometimes not. The scripture teaches us that LIFE is nothing but a vapor, here today, gone tomorrow. In this text, it says that He has come that we might have LIFE and LIFE more abundantly.
What does that mean? It really isn’t feasible to have LIFE abundantly on this earth but it’s notable that the Lord would have us look at LIFE beyond LIFE in this world. He wants us to have abundant LIFE, and that is LIFE beyond what we can obtain or what successes can be had. It’s the eternal LIFE that we all wait for patiently.
Today, I want to encourage you to consider your LIFE and consider how quickly LIFE passes us by. I want you to hold on to the words of the Lord. He wants you and I to have LIFE. More. Abundantly.
